Person #2: "Well, my son just went into rehab for a fentanyl addiction, and I think my wife is having an affair, and I can't stop looking at porn on my computer, and I've been extorted by a Nigerian princess. I have so many problems!"
Person #1: Er....well....gotta go!"
You might want to reconsider oversharing your problems. The adage, "A problem shared is a problem halved," isn't really true. Everyone has problems, and now they have your half on top of theirs! Most people are caught up in their own struggles, and when you share your problems, you're adding to the weight they're already carrying.
Freely sharing your troubles can cause more harm than good. Your problems can provide fodder for gossip, making painfully sensitive information suddenly common knowledge. It can create a cloud of negativity around you that alienates others. And if you broadcast your misfortunes on the internet, you're definitely taking risks. Social media has provided us with an unlimited opportunity to overshare with scores of people at the same time. It can create a false sense of intimacy that every stranger online is our friend, and that we can bare our soul to them.
There are some things that once shared can never be taken back, such as secrets, vulnerabilities, money issues, family problems and challenges with intimate relationships. The consequences could haunt you for years.
This doesn't mean you should never talk about your problems. It's just best to talk about them discreetly and selectively. Find the right person to open up to.
This could be a close friend or a trusted family member. Be sure you're not just using them as a sounding board - try to be solution-oriented. The right timing can make a difference: If they're going through their own difficulties, it's best to leave them alone or talk to them at another time. Be sure you don't repeatedly complain about the same thing - this could strain the relationship and discourage the person from helping.
And remember - don't talk someone's ear off. They might need it to hear about your problems in the future.
"When people start a sentence with
'Do you know what your problem is?' I interrupt
and start telling them all my problems.
They never expect that." ~ Unknown

SIGNS OF LOVE
JUST IMAGINE
I want to share a Sanskrit poem by Kalidasa, an Indian playwright and poet who was active during the 4th and 5th Century AD. It inspires me to make the most of each day, and I hope it will do the same for you.
Many of us starve ourselves of the peace and contentedness that is waiting in every moment, convinced that it can only be experienced once a group of external pieces falls into place.
Look to this day, for it is life, the very breath of life. In its brief course lie all the realities of your existence; the bliss of growth, the glory of action, the splendor of beauty. For yesterday is only a dream, and tomorrow is but a vision. But today, well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day.
This poem is a reminder that the past and the future dwell only in our minds, and in truth, all that we ever experience is this present moment.
Thank you so much, Beautiful People, this is truly a Sign of LOVE!
With muchLOVE andBlessings, ~ Karin

REV. RON SCOTT
This Sunday, April 20th, 2025
At 10:00 AM
Hear RON'S live, inspirational talk:
"Jesus Was an Optimist"
Ron's Physical Biography
I believe in balance in all aspects of Life: Spirit, Mind and Body. I believe that Spirit has direct control over our thinking (Mind) and our physical actions (Body).
I was very fortunate to be introduced to the teachings of The Science of Mind and the benefits of physical exercise at the same time. Incidentally, I also became a member of Alcoholics Anonymous at the same time.
As I began working out six days a week, I became much stronger and began to compete in the sport of Powerlifting around 1978. I began to use the tools and principles of the SOM to support my Powerlifting. What tools could help me become stronger and better in my competitions?
Positive thinking, visualization, proper breathing, mental rehearsal and guided meditations, to name just a few. Using these Principles helped me to not only focus but also kept me thinking positive thoughts about myself and my lifting.
The use of these Principles, many years of sobriety (48), and my commitment to exercise has helped me win 14 World Powerlifting and National Championships over the past 20 years. I have set many National and World records in both the Squat and the Deadlift by using the Principles of Science of Mind in a very positive way.
ALL POWER COMES FROM GOD!
QUOTES
“We are surrounded by, and immersed in,
a Perfect Life: A complete, normal, happy,
sane, harmonious and peaceful existence.
But only as much of this Life as we embody
will really become ours to use!” ~ Science of Mind
“We should interpret the will of God
to be everything that expresses Life without hurt.
Anything that will enable us to
express greater life, greater happiness, greater power
—so long as it does not harm anyone—
must be the will of God for us.
As much life as one can conceive
will become a part of our experience.” ~ Science of Mind
AFFIRMATION
“I am free. I am healed. I look forward and not back.
I know who I am, where I am going
and what I am going to do.
I am guided and directed by the Spirit within me,
which is surging forth into new and wonderful express-ions
each day. I live an unique, original life,
because Spirit created me to express
in a new and different way,
each and every day!”

WONDERFUL QUOTE ABOUT AGING CONTRIBUTED BY STEVE KANOLD
Actress Meryl Streep once said: "Aging is not for the weak. One day you wake up and realize that your youth is gone, but along with it, so go insecurity, haste, and the need to please. You learn to walk more slowly, but with greater certainty. You say goodbye without fear, and you cherish those who stay. Aging means letting go, it means accepting, it means discovering that beauty was never in our skin....but in the story we carry inside us."

THIS THING CALLED LIFE
"PERFECTLY AWWW-FUL"
~ By Merryl Lentz
Raise your hand if you saw this adorable piglet and immediately cooed, "Awww!" I see that you're all raising your hands. As uncontrollable as a sneeze, I exclaimed, "Awww!" too. Any baby animals - kittens, puppies, hedgehogs, bunnies, otters, owls, and more (well, maybe not a T. Rex baby) - can make us nearly overdose on cuteness. They're sweet and endearing; we want to touch them and cuddle them and kiss them. We may even want to pinch their adorable cheeks like your embarrassing Aunt Melba did while uttering, "Oy! Look how much you've grown!"
But why are we pleasantly triggered by cuteness? The answer is pretty interesting.
As humans, our primal instincts hardwire us to want to care for and protect innocent, vulnerable creatures. We want to nurture them, to shower them with love, attention and kindness. It may be a way of connecting with a purity and innocence and sweetness that can be lacking in the "real" world. And if you doubt the power of cuteness, how about this: The cute "Hello Kitty" built an $8.5 billion empire.
In the presence of cuteness, our brains go bonkers. Cuteness triggers all kinds of things that make us feel good. Activity ramps up in the part of our brains that are linked to emotion and pleasure (the orbitofrontal cortex, for all of you anatomy nerds). The chemical oxytocin is released, triggering the desire for bonding and attachment. But wait! There's more! The feel-good chemical, dopamine, also floods our bloodstream, making us, well, feel good. Extremely good.
Cuteness, though, doesn't have to be limited to creatures with little, fuzzy faces and eyes the size of dinner plates. Some people are drawn to animals that other people may not find "traditionally" cute. And some may even want to go back in time so that they can say, "Awwww" and pinch the cheeks of that toothy T-Rex baby.
"The tiny turtle tames the torrents
with the magic of cuteness." ~ Unknown

SIGNS OF LOVE
THE BEST IS YET TO BE
Our Centers for Spiritual Living follow a spiritual movement that values Jesus as a great teacher and leader but does not consider him a deity.
While CSL acknowledges the Judeo-Christian heritage of many of its members, they do not worship Jesus or believe him to be fundamentally different from other humans.
CSL is considered a Spiritual Center, not a church, and draws upon a variety of wisdom traditions.
And as our founder Ernest Holmes said: Always be open at the top, and The Best Is Yet To Be!
CSL views Jesus as a significant teacher who understood his oneness with God.
We admire his teachings and leadership, but do not believe he is the sole or primary path to spiritual enlightenment.
Further Ernest Holmes stated: “Jesus knew what we all must learn: that we cannot really have an attitude of dislike or hate or viciousness toward other people without robbing ourselves of the healing power and the comforting Presence and the Divine Assurance that the Universe itself rests on the shoulders of Love.”
He also said: “Now, immortality is either a principle in the Universe or it is not. Consequently, if immortality is a principle, it must be true for every living soul.”
HAPPY EASTER!
And here is a book you might want to read (click below):

WEEKLY WISDOM
SPECIAL EASTER THOUGHTS
FROM ERNEST HOLMES
"The Spirit that raised Jesus dwells in all. This Spirit quickens our mortal bodies when we let It. So let us turn toward the sun of eternal life, the spiritual sun that cannot set and forever rises on the horizon of our own experience. Definitely and deliberately we let go of every lost hope, every fear of want, every sense of lack, every hurt. We roll away the stone of uncertainty from our consciousness; we find the resurrected, the Divine and God-intended perfection and wholeness. We are standing forevermore in the glory of an everlasting protection of the One Presence."
